Sam Went

Sam is a playwright and Artistic Director of Blue Bar Productions. He graduated with an MA in Scriptwriting from UEA, is the former Head Writer of the University of York Comedy Society and alumnus of the Soho Theatre Young Company. His work as a playwright focuses on political and economic justice with recent credits including The Wolf of Poyais (2025, Nomianted Fringe Theatre Awards Best New Play) Valhalla (2024), Red Pill (2022/2023, Finalist Standing Ovation Awards Most Innovative Play & New Play Raising Awareness, FemFest Selection), Joffrey! The Pantomime (2022) and Chaotic Neutral (2022)
